Dag is, quite simply, a phenomenon. The Norwegian burst onto the professional tournament scene in April 2007 and has quickly proven that he’s a force to be reckoned with anytime he sits at the table.

A noted online player, Dag took his game to a new level at the 2007 Irish Poker Open where he made back-to-back final tables in the €3.3K No-Limit Hold ‘em and €300 Pot-Limit Omaha events. That’s not a bad opening act by anyone’s standards, but still, the performance was nothing compared to the WSOP Main Event where Dag went deep into the field and collected a healthy $237K check for his efforts.

Back on European soil in September, Dag gave an encore performance at the EPT Barcelona Open, where he walked away with more than $27K in winnings.

In 2009, Dag made a spectacular run at the EPT – Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Starting in a field of 935 entrants, he fought his way through to the final table before finally departing with a fourth-placed finish. He was rewarded for his efforts with a prize of €600K ($788K).

He then came to prominence to a wider audience later the same year, after battling through to the final of the 2009 Poker Million. His third place in the live televised final showcased Dag’s talent to railbirds around the world.
